In Summer the major US TV networks to air original non-fiction reality and game shows in place of re-runs of their Fall-Winter fictional series.
Below is a list of where the major original Summer reality series placed in last week's US prime time TV ratings. The first number is the placement out of the 97 programs that aired on the 5 major US TV networks last week. The column after the show name shows total viewers (2 years and older) and the column after that is the rating. For benchmarking purposes, the average program airing in US prime time last week drew 4.9 million viewers and the average rating was 1.7.

The flip of the weekly "live eviction ceremony" episode of “Big Brother 10” on CBS back into the Thursday @ 8 p.m. slot (it has inhabited in prior seasons) in place of Greatest American Dog (which, in turn, moved up to Wednesadays @ 8) paid off. Big Brother 10 posted a 2.3 among 18-49s, up 44 percent from the 1.6 “Greatest American Dog” earned in the same slot in the previous week, and also up almost 10 percent from Big Brother's own 2.1 rating on the previous Wednesday.
