Summer Reality TV series update

Summer is peak period for the major US networks to introduce original non-fiction series to replace re-runs of their usual Fall-Winter fictional series lineups. Here is how the Summer reality series that are currently airing fared last week (ending Aug 15th) with audiences (ranked on viewership levels based on the Nielson ratings). The viewership figures are in thousands. The final number is the rating which is the estimated percentage of the universe of TV households tuned to a program in the average minute. The first number indicates the rating of the show among all 85 prime time series (including fictional series) airing on the 5 major networks last week. For comparison, the average series rating as just over five million (5,020 or 1.75). The second set of rating figures indicates how the series fared in the key ratings demographic breakout (adults 18 to 40)-- the viewers that advertisers target the most.
